A Weekend of Art, Design & Culture in Rome
Rome is a city best experienced slowly. Beyond the landmarks, its charm lies in the details — early mornings in quiet piazzas, long lunches that turn into afternoons, galleries tucked behind unassuming façades and neighbourhoods that reveal themselves the further you wander.
For a weekend centred around art and design, we would begin with the classics, but leave plenty of room for the less expected. Spend the morning between private collections and historic galleries before heading towards the quieter streets of Monti or Campo Marzio, stopping for coffee somewhere small and beautifully considered along the way.
Lunch should be unhurried. A table outside, seasonal Roman dishes and somewhere that feels as much about atmosphere as it does the food. Later, explore a mix of contemporary spaces, independent boutiques and interiors worth noticing, before returning to the hotel for a slower evening.
Rome rarely needs overplanning. The right address, a few thoughtful recommendations and enough space to follow your instinct is often all it takes. It is a city that rewards curiosity — and one we return to for exactly that reason.
